Weeks, Chelsea

 

My name is Chelsea Weeks, and I am so excited to be here at Inspiration Mountain with your kiddos :) Allow me to take a few moments and introduce myself. Originally, I am from Danville, Illinois. However, I have lived in Arizona since 2010. I am entering my 17th year in education. I have a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University, a Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University, and I completed my Ed.S from Liberty University in Educational Leadership.  Most recently became certified in Physical Education.

 I am married to Joshua, who works at Luke Air Force Base on F-35's. We have two kids, Noah, who is 9, and Rae, who is 5. They are both Knights. We also have a Pitbull mix named Daisy and a Corgipoo named Ellie. I love to read, shop, take walks, and watch movies. I am also an adjunct professor in the College of Education at Grand Canyon University.

I believe that successful education can only be achieved as a team, meaning the teacher, parent, student, and the administration all come together to ensure academic and personal growth for ALL children. Second grade is a time for children to expand their love of learning, their general knowledge, their ability to socialize, and their ability to reach out to the world. Inspiration Mountain and Deer Valley’s educational program is designed to meet all that and provide a nurturing and safe environment that allows for academic and personal growth. While second grade marks an important transitional milestone in your child’s life, it is still essential for children to be children. We are in for a great year.
