Welcome to 5th grade ELA!

I am looking forward to a great year of learning with my students.  

English Language Arts (ELA) includes several components of learning:  reading, writing, language, listening & speaking, and more.

We will be using our DVUSD adopted curriculum Into Reading (HMH) as well as novels in our class this year for reading and writing instruction. 

Students should have a book with them at all times while at school.  We will have a school library and also a classroom library for students to use.
