Hello and welcome to 6th grade. My name is Morgan Brunelle, and I am excited to be back at Inspiration Mountain for the second year. This will be my 5th year teaching and 9th year in the Deer Valley School District. I love bringing the real world to the classroom through the utilization of imagery from our National Parks, as well as challenging students and parents outside of the classroom to live the history that we are learning through races. I am excited to look forward to continuing this journey and watching students grow throughout the year, becoming more confident and curious.
A little about me. I am an Arizona native with an urban farm. I have a tortoise who is about 12 years old named Rufio, an Australian cattledog named Sejona, two kittens that are three months old (found under my neighbor's vehicle and coop), multiple chickens with all of their own names, an eel named Biggie, a cichlid named Leo, and random little fish. I grow a lot of my own vegetables and fruits, and have an addiction to house plants and propagating Pothos. I am not a fan of running, but I seem to run a lot of races and invite families to join me in Spartan Races to experience firsthand what I teach in the second semester. I cannot wait to teach students and get them to learn by creating projects and finding out what helps them learn best. Here's to the 2026/2027 school year!
