Kristina Littrell - ELA
Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
Hello! I’m thrilled to be your child’s 6th grade ELA teacher this year! My name is Kristina, but I go by Kris—my friends call me that, and I’d love for you to do the same.
This will be my 19th year teaching middle school English Language Arts, and I still feel just as excited and passionate as I did on day one. I taught 8th grade for most of my career, 7th grade, and this is my third year in 6th grade—and I absolutely love being part of this transitional and inspiring year in your child’s academic journey.
A little about me: My family and I moved to Arizona in 2020 from the beautiful hills of Kentucky, and although Kentucky will always have a special place in my heart, I feel truly lucky to now call Arizona home. I’m originally from San Francisco, met my husband while he was serving in the Marine Corps, and since then we’ve lived in California, Georgia, Kentucky, and now here in this incredible desert state.
My husband and I have been married for 32 years and have three amazing adult children (ages 23, 27, and 28) and a wonderful son-in-law. My daughter lives in North Carolina, and I’m grateful my two sons have joined us here in Arizona. Outside of the classroom, you can find me camping, off-roading, hiking, reading, riding my bike, or spending time with my sweet dog, Rick.
I’m truly excited to get to know your child and work together to make this a year full of growth, learning, and joy. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your child’s story this year!
Warmly,
Kris
