7th Grade

Welcome 7th Graders to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Congratulations on advancing to the next grade level! You did it! This letter will give you information on how to have a successful, productive, and fun filled school year.

Communication will be key this school year. Below are the contact email addresses for each of your teachers and the easiest and quickest way to contact us. REMEMBER, your child has ALL teachers throughout the day. Subject specific concerns should be addressed to that specific teacher.

Mrs. Matej (Social Studies)  Wendy.Hildebrandt-Matej@dvusd.org

Mrs. King (ELA)  Brandi.King@dvusd.org

Ms. Enrico (Math)  Emma-Leigh.Enrico@dvusd.org

Mrs. Witt (Science)  Ashley.Witt@dvusd.org

Mrs. Kujan (Walk Up Math) Whitney.Kujan@dvusd.org

This will be a very busy year for 7th Grade, but we will work as a team to achieve academic success. One of the most important things we can tell you is you must be ORGANIZED to be successful this school year. Having all of your classroom materials, being prepared for class, and managing your time wisely will all be important to ensure academic achievement.

In order to hold each student accountable for his or her own behavior, 7th Graders will have a CReeD Card. The CReeD Cards follow our PBIS matrix which is a behavioral management system used school-wide on our campus. Our Knight’s CReeD represents students who are Caring, Responsible, and Determined. Student cards will have two sides. On one side, students will have an opportunity to collect “positives” for going above and beyond. Once students have completed a section of positives they will receive a chosen reward. On the other side, “infractions” will be kept track of. If a student receives three or more infractions for the same offense, they will receive a minor. If a student receives three minors, the student will need to serve a lunch detention. As the offense grows, the consequences will be determined by administration. At the end of each month students will have an opportunity to participate in Fun Friday if they have less than three infractions and have a parent signature. Fun Friday activities are changed throughout the year, but could include: art, games, outside recess, etc.

If you have not done so already, please be sure to get your login information for PowerSchools. PowerSchool is a website that gives you access to your child’s grades for all of their classes. Teachers are unable to access your login information, so please contact the front office for help with this if needed.

We look forward to a successful 7th Grade year and can’t wait to get stated!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Matej,  Mrs. King, Ms. Enrico, Mrs. Witt, Mrs. Kujan
