l am delighted to be part of  the Inspiration Mountain team where I have such admiration for those I work with! I was born in Phoenix and grew up in Northern California. I came back to Phoenix in 1996 and have been here ever since. Before joining the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders, I spent nearly two decades in the airline industry. As a speech-language pathologist, I have worked in both clinics and school settings. I started with DVUSD in 2017 at Las Brisas Elementary before joining the IM team in 2023,  serving students from preschool through eighth grade. I love vintage, antiques, second-hand and garage sale finds, going to coffee houses with friends, hiking, reading, art, music, and traveling. I cook on my car engine when I take my children on road trips and love being out in nature, especially near the ocean. My all-time favorite activity is spending time with my family. I have four children and a daughter-in-love who continue to inspire me; Dominic  (27 years) and his beautiful wife Victoria live in Chicago and are expecting “baby Jacob” in February.  Ava, Gianna, and Anton (18 years old) just graduated from high school.  Ava and Gianna are starting their college in August  at PVCC while Anton will continue in a transition program at his PV High School.

I have a heart for parents who are traveling an unexpected journey of navigating complex needs and special education. I have walked that road as a parent and as a clinician. Two of my children are diagnosed with Tourette syndrome, one with FND, and one child diagnosed with Down syndrome. My children, and the children I serve, continue to teach me about perspective. I see life through their eyes and recognize that every moment is important. Witnessing the growth in their communication skills is truly a privilege.
