About:

Hello Knights Families, and welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

My name is Alex Washburn, and I am excited to begin another amazing year at our school! This is my 12th year in education and my 10th year with Deer Valley Unified School District. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with amazing students and partner with extraordinary families throughout the year.

I am a member of the Student Support Services Team, where I serve as a Special Education Teacher/Service Coordinator for our third- and fourth-grade students.

I am looking forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, new adventures, meaningful growth, and plenty of reasons to celebrate our students' successes. Together, we can help each child reach their full potential in a supportive and positive learning environment.

If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please don't hesitate to contact me at alexandra.washburn@dvusd.org. If you have an urgent matter, please call the school office at 623-376-5400, and they will be happy to get a message to me.
